Learning Spanish made easy - The concept of verbs

Hola amigos,

So today I'm going to talk about verbs.
I could've easily started started with the basic conversations surely, but they're all over the Internet and are quite easy to mug up, although I'll surely include a few in the next few posts.
I feel basic conversations don't make sense until you know the concepts behind them. How are these sentences formed? The verbs and their conjugations.

So what are verbs exactly? Verbs are just the actions you or anybody else carries out in their day to day lives.

Let's say, to run, to eat, to play, etc. All these are verbs.
In Spanish each and every verb that exists, ends in 3 types always, namely "IR, ER And AR".

Examples:
An "IR" verb-Vivir - to live.
An "AR" verb - Trabajar - to work.
An "ER" verb - Comer - to eat.

So now here comes the trick. I talk, you talk, He/she talks. We/ you'll talk. They talk. Notice how the "talk" remains constant except for the third person? In Spanish the "talk" gets "conjugated" I.e the last part of the verb gets modified according to the subject pronoun.

What are Subject Pronouns?
I
You,
He/She
Us
You'll
They

One's mentioned above are translated respectively as -
I - Yo
You - tu
He/She/You(formal)-El/Ella/Usted(formal)
Nosotros- Us
Vosotros - You'll
Ellos/Ella's/Ustedes. - They(girls), They(boys) , You'll (formal)

Always remember this format mentioned above.
Let's say, To Speak - Hablar. (An AR verb)

Yo hablo
Tu Hablas
El/Ella/usted habla
Nosotros hablamos
Vosotros hablais
Ellos /Ellas /Ustedes/ hablan

The bold alphabets above are the same patterns (conjugations) that you must follow with the other AR verbs.
Say Trabajar - to work.
Yo trabajo ( I work )
Tu trabajas (You work)

And the list goes on!

But these bold patterns (conjugations) again change in ER & IR verbs which are quite easy to remember.

Will post more stuff on this topic in the coming week.
Now let's put in a tense here. Often people confuse this tense with the other tenses & make errors in their oral/written exams. It's called the Simple Present Tense. Or rather a habitual tense. That's how I remember it. It's something you or anybody else does or is used to doing and it's rather a part of your routine.( I run, you run, he runs).

Keep practicing these conjugations (the bold alphabets) with other AR verbs - terminar, escuchar , visitar, bailar. Post these in the comment section below! I shall revert.
For now we shall ONLY do AR verbs.

N
OTE:
What's "Usted/Ustedes"? - A formal tone when you refer to someone as "you".
Usted - Singular (you)
Ustedes - Plural ( you'll )
- Also, it always changes to the third person conjugate in both, singular & plural.
Gracias, (thank you)
Adios. (Goodbye)
