Intro - Learn how to write letters in Spanish!

So, today I'm going to talk about letter writing in Spanish since I got requests from a few friends for the same!

A few things you need to know before you start writing letters in Spanish:

THE BIG 5 POINTS

1. Quality over quantity: If you feel you'll score well by writing a page full of content & vocabulary, you're going wrong somewhere. Mostly you'll be assigned a word limit but if you aren't , then do not waste time in adding more content. It's all about the quality of content you add into your essay. Let's say, even if you write 4-5 lines in the 2nd paragraph, it's surely more than enough.

2. Good grammar and adequate knowledge about tenses: Good grammar attracts and interests your examiner. If you haven't brushed through your tenses and their respective conjugations it will indeed get hard for you to write a quality essay.

3. Structuring: Whether you're writing an essay in English or Spanish, structuring qualifies for the maximum weightage from your total points. A whooping 50% of your points come from your  structuring, while others follow.

4. Presentation: Right from your name till the concluding points, spacing is very crucial. Adequate knowledge about when to use spaces between paragraphs are important.

5. Vocabulary: Here, we talk about the content part. Gather vocab from my blog/ various other sources and jot them down. Memorize. Especially business related; application for a job, asking for a letter of recommendation. Informal ones: Inviting someone over for a party/birthday/ holiday  etc.

I shall start with the following things in the next few posts:

1. Greetings & Endings for both; formal and informal letters.

2. Format for a Formal Letter along with a sample letter.

3. Format for an Informal Letter along with a sample letter.

4. Crucial vocabulary for the same.

Bro tip: Use duolingo everyday for improving your vocabulary. It's a great way to boost your points in the last section of your papers!
